GM finally unveiled their facelifted 2014 Camaro today at the NY auto show. Its the first full refresh since 5th generation debuted in 2009. Basically, the whole update is mostly about visual look.
2014 Camaro feautres completely redesigned front and rear ends. The front fascia is a bit more sharp and looks a bit wider, while tail ligts are in sigle unit now. New rear spoiler gives that retro feeling. They’ve also updated the interior with new performance seats from Recaro, but nothing else major.
Good engine cooling is ensured via bigger opening at the front bottom and big vent on the hood for the hot air to come out. What they’ve learned at the race track, they put into this car: big Brembo brakes, 6-speed padle shift transmission. GM claim it is more stable because of this areopackage that they’ve learned at the race track.
The engine choise is basically the same as for 2013: 323 HP LS V6 as standard one, 426 horse powered 6.2 liter V8 for the SS model and 580 HP supercharged ZL1.
