This impressive custom 1949 Mercury was built by Bill Dugan from Ohio. A lot of changes were done to this muscle car: the roof was smoothly chopped and reinforced, door pillars were eliminated, some extra chrome and fenders were added, dual exhaust, wheels with chrome-plated caps and wide tires feature this car too.
Bill managed to equip this Mercury with Corvette 350 cubic V8engine, matched it with Weber carburetors custom-built intake. Turbo Hydra-Matic 400 3-speed transmission and rear axle were taken from 1973 Lincoln. Ride high may be adjusted with Air Ride suspension.
Interior features bucket leather seats, air conditioner, custom dashboard and floor console. Looks like everything is only of the highest quality in this custom muscle. No wonder, why somebody paid over $46.000 for this rolling peace of art.
Historically, Mercuries practically were the first one to be customized as low-riders.
