Jon Sibal is an automotive designer best know [for our readers] for his 2015 Mustang renders. What’s nice about him is that he is real car guy – a few of his previously owned customized cars prove that perfectly.
This time amcarguide’s attention is on his latest personal ride – 2009 Challenger SRT8 which he… won… Yes. He won it in MSN Autos design competition back in 2008. The idea of the competition was to “customize each body panel to one’s liking”. Jon chose iconic hot rod flames matched some stripes, submitted his design and won it. Congrats!
Ha! And that’s not the end. In a matter of weeks the car got updated. Zoomers exhaust took care of a new sound, H&R provided the very first set of new Coil Overs. Naturally, Sibal’s Challenger entered a few shows and got much of attention. So as on the streets. The “real flame” paint scheme did turned heads.
A year later Jon decided to have it customized again. This time a bit more drastically. He took the car at Meguiar’s to get it wrapped in Wraptivo’s film. Challenger lost its fiery character and got even meaner and badder – two tone matte black. Drake Muscle Car sent him their super cool Sequential Light kit and matte black Billet Aluminum Fuel Door assembly to match the new looks. Soon the car got the present look that we, actually, like the most: Jon Sibal’s 2009 Challenger SRT8 got its fully functional AFR Max Air hood scoop from Autoform Racing & awesome 20-inch SSR SP1 wheels powdered in Matte Vintage Gold. Nice car, good guy. Respect! More information and photos here.
