Terminator is a code name for 2003 Mustang Cobra. It was developed at the SVT which was then led by John Coletti. Terminator Cobra came with a supercharged 4.6 L DOHC V8 and 390 HP.
Many improvements were made: cast iron block [instead of aluminum], forged pistons and H-beam connecting rods. Upgrades were a must in order to handle the 8 psi (0.55 bar) of boost which comes from the Eaton M112 supercharger. Aluminium flywheel is connected to a Tremec T-56 six-speed transmission. Rear axle ratio is 3.55:1 and has stronger 31 spline half shafts with revised upper and lower control arms. 0-60 mph in 4.5 secs 1/4 mile – mid to high 12’s at over 110 mph.
Design-wise 2003 Terminator Cobra featured new front bumper and new rear bumper. The front one came with integrated spoiler, while the back one had a black insert that helped to better integrate the ehaust pipes. Dual hood scoopes are fully functional. SVT also equiped it with new 17-inch rims. Beautiful new edge pony.
