Ford unveiled their latest Shelby GT350, but we expect them to unveil GT350R – a more hardcore model – at January’s Detroit Auto Show. Why? Because prototypes that were tested at Nürburgring last summer had more upgrades than 2015 Shelby GT350 – better brakes, aero upgrades, stickier tires, etc.
Back in the 60s Carroll Shelby had GT350R too and it was stripped to essentials for weight loss. Fiberglass, plexiglass, and better brakes, rubber and areo as mentioned above. This lets us expect something similar for the modern 2016 Shelby GT350R.
