The painful wait is over – the 2014 C7 Corvette is finally unveiled officially in 2013 Detroit Auto Show. Chevrolet took their legendary sports car, the 1963 Stingray Corvette, to the new heights, but C7 got also seriously redesigned comparing to an old C6.

All new in all ways
Actually, it is really all new car. The weight distribution is 50:50… 2014 Corvette has better power to weight ratio even than Porsche 911 or Audi R8. Th carb weight is still unknown, but the frame is 99 lbs lighter than C6’s due to modern technology use – such as carbon fiber hood and roof.
The new LT1 engine
LT1 is a small block V8. All new power plant generates 450 horse power and 450 lt-ft of torque. Enough to get C7 0-60 in under 4 seconds. GM says C7’s fuel economy will achieve 26 mpg due to the all new 7 speed manual transmission.

Suspension
It is super performing. The Z51 performance package offers electronically controlled limited slip diff, dual-cast, slotted roots and 19-inch wheels. The magnetic ride control is also available (that thing made the ZL1 Camaro a track beast).
Interior
It is the greatest ‘Vette ever had. Real carbon fiber, aluminum and leather. The poor quality has finally been changed here.

“For the new Corvette to be called a Stingray, it had to deliver an incredible, purposeful visual impact – just as the original did in 1963,” Tom Peters, exterior design director, said.
