Some say, that the real death date of Oldsmobile, one of the oldest American car brand, was back in 1972 together with John Beltz (general manager) . This man was Oldsmobile’s chief engineer in 1964 and one of the main influencers of the Toronado and the 442 project. After Beltz died, Olds division became a corporate letterhead. From ’72 on it was all about cost cutting and profits. Today, 29 04 2014, marks the 10th Anniversary of Olds is gone.
RIP, Olds. Nothin rolls like Olds.
