Chevrolet unveiled their 6th generation COPO Camaro at the 2015 SEMA Show. Only 69 units will ever be made and this particular one that is being showed at Sema is set for an auction at a Barrett-Jackson next year.
COPO Camaro is made to race in the NHRA Stock and Super Stock Eliminator classes. 2016 COPO is 28 percent stiffer and 133 pounds lighter. The hood hides a 350 racing engine with a Whipple 2.9L supercharger. Engine options include: a supercharged 5.7 liter V8, a naturally aspirated 7.0-liter monster and the all-new 6.2-liter LT-based powerplant.
