Let’s face it – current Z06 reached Corvette’s top performance. All the extra power would probably just burn the tires. The mid-engine layout seems to be a necessary step, ’cause GM engineers continue to improve power and performance.
And design-wise it is good time to make a revolution and step into a more vealthy Lamborgini’s and Ferrari’s market – the mid-engine club. ZR1 Zora may be the name of 2017 C8 Corvette.
These mid-engine C8s will probably be limited to a 1500 unit run and is expexted to cost arround $150K.
